Our President

Annie Bernard-Daisley

It is during times like these that I am proud to be a part of the Nova Scotia Native Women’s Association, working to advocate, advance equality and reduce disparities for the women and 2SLGBTQQIA people of Nova Scotia. As you navigate through our new website, I hope that you learn more about the programs and services that the NSNWA offers and what makes the NSNWA an outstanding provider of these services for our women and 2SLGBTQQIA people.

I am extremely proud of the hard work and determination the leadership and staff at NSNWA exhibit on a daily basis.  Our website will showcase all of the great work we are doing and provide more understanding to the public of who we are and what we do.  We will continue to keep our website up to date as this site will be our primary method of sharing public information about the NSNWA moving forward.

Welcome to our site!

I am honoured to have been elected as the President of the Nova Scotia Native Women’s Association. I am committed to advancing and bringing voice to the issues and matters of concern to Indigenous women, girls, 2S, Gender Diverse and their families with respect, integrity, and honesty. I will use this platform to advocate for our people and communities and to create long lasting positive outcomes.

Annie Bernard-Daisley
